Magnetic Fluid Conditioner
For 1/2" to 1" Tubing or Pipe.

Cost: $270.00 ea.

The Model 800 Magnetic Fluid Conditioner is designed for the treatment of scale and corrosion in residential, commercial, and light industrial applications or wherever difficult hard water problems exist. The GMX System controls the negative effects of hard water on plumbing systems and appliances.

GMX 800 Magnetic Water Conditioner
Whole House System
3 - Model 800 units are required:

2 Model 800s - on the main water line.
1 Model 800 - on hot line coming out of the water heater.
Whole House Cost: $780.00
Internet Sales Only!

Incoming water lines larger than one 1" diameter will require two Model 848s followed by one or two Model 800 units for the water heater. (Same Price !!)

If the water in the heater is turned over at least once every day, then only one Model 800 unit is needed; otherwise, two units are needed for results.

Main Water Line Placement

Two units should be placed on the incoming water line in a location that treats all the water in the house including outside sprinklers and garden hose valves. Magnetically treated water will also benefit plants.

For the best results, GMX units should be placed about two feet from the water meter or well water pressure tank and at least two feet after any pump, filter, or other turbulence causing device. The units should be placed in the center of a three foot section of straight pipe. The smoother the water flow, the better the conditioning results - although situations may require different placement.

DO NOT straddle a shutoff valve. The units should also be placed
on a nonferrous (plastic, copper, rubber,
PVC, or stainless steel) pipe or tubing.

Water Heater(s) Placement

At least one Model 800 unit is needed to treat the hot water leaving a 40 gallon or smaller the water heater. If there is more than one water heater, or it's 50 gallons or more then one unit is needed for each water heater.

Whole House System
4 - Model 800 units are required:

2 Model 800s - on the main water line.
2 Model 800 - on hot line coming out of the water heater.
Whole House Cost: $1,040.00
Internet Sales Only!

Incoming water lines larger than one 1" diameter will require two Model 848s followed by one or two Model 800 units for the water heater. (Same Price !!)

Although the water flow is smoother through a rigid water pipe, the unit can be over a flexible water line if a rigid water line is not used or accessible.

Installing The Magnetics

GMX 800 Magnetic Water Conditioner
  1. Place the Model 800 against the pipe or tube to be treated.

The units should NOT be attracted to the pipes. Use any magnet to test the pipes. If the magnets are attracted to the pipe, a 24" section of pipe will have to be replaced with a piece copper, PVC, or any other NONFERROUS material.

  2. Place the backing plate on the opposite side of the pipe and align the holes with the unit. The backing plate is designed to be reversible. Place the dimples toward the pipe for 1/2" and 5/8" pipe or tubing and place the dimples away from the pipe for 3/4" and 1" pipe.

  1. Insert the nylon bolts through the holes in the unit and backing plate and secure with the wing-nuts.

  1. Tighten the unit until it is snug against the pipe. Do not over tighten !

  1. The second unit should be mounted tandem to the first unit and spaced 1" apart. When installing multiple units they should ALWAYS REPEL (Labels will be facing same direction) and NEVER ATTRACT each other. If the units attract, they will cancel each other out and the system will not work.

  2. The flow of water through the third unit at the water heater's hot line should be in the same direction as the first two units with respect to the label. The water should enter the "G" side and exit out the "X" side. The actual direction of the water flow through the units does not matter; as long as, the water flow is in the same direction through all the units installed within one system. Most GMX units now come with flow direction arrows applied to help in eliminating this potential problem.
